UBC is excited to sponsor and present at DIA’s virtual Global Annual Meeting this year. This premier gathering for professionals in the clinical development space is happening from June 28th through July 1. Representatives from UBC’s late stage, safety, and business development teams will be in attendance to share our experience and perspectives and connect with other leaders in the industry.
On Monday, June 28th, UBC’s Corporate Vice President, REMS, Safety and Strategic Engagement Natalie O’Donnell will be joined by pharmacovigilance consultant Elizabeth Delmaestro to discuss vendor selection. Their session Critical Components for Successful Vendor Selection: CRO, PV, Registries, and REMS Services will be broadcast at 12:30 PM EST. Topics include:
- How consultants can improve the overall experience of working with a CRO
- How consultants can help problem solve your companies challenges and the importance of vendor selection
- Considerations within vendor selection

Then at 9 AM EST on Wednesday, June 30th, UBC and Pfizer will be presenting The Intersection of Patient Advocacy and Technology – Keys to Building Effective Patient Communities. UBC’s Senior Director of Patient and Physician Services Shazia Ahmad and Pfizer’s Senior Director for Clinical Trial Experience, Global Product Development David Leventhal will be discussing how to create deeper value for patients during their participation in the study and beyond. This session will cover:
- What mediums and channels work most effectively
- What type of information and patient-centric content is most valuable to the patient
- How to engage patients after their study participation has concluded
